Despite our best efforts, life can be challenging and even, at times, overwhelming. It takes courage and awareness to realize you are at a point where it makes sense to bring on board a kind of external support that is different from talking with a loved one. Perhaps you are navigating a time of change or a transition that has rocked your boat. Or you feel caught in a pattern that will not budge, no matter how much willpower and how many do-overs you throw at it. In our work I will provide you with the support it takes to move through these painful and stuck places, and to discover and nurture the inner resources to open new possibilities.

How I work:

My approach to therapy is warm, engaged, and collaborative. Research consistently shows that the greatest predictor of therapeutic success is the quality of the relationship, and as such I am attentive to your experience of therapy and your unique and specific needs. I draw on depth approaches that help to uncover and transform deeper-set patterns of relating with our selves and with others, along with methods of working in the present moment with mindfulness, emotions, and the body. My work is trauma-informed and collaborative: we work together to find out what is actually effective for you.

I invite people of all backgrounds and life experiences to this process. Some of the issues with which I work are detailed below, but I encourage you to reach out for a consultation.
